Local, traditional dairy
Barrit Mejeri is one of the oldest and few remaining independent cooperative dairies in Denmark with a history dating back to 1887. Today, the dairy has a specialised production of cream cheese in a wealth of delicious flavours with the majority of the production being exported.
Ostehullet
The dairy has its own shop where you can buy cream cheeses produced at the dairy. Try the lovely natural version or one of the many spicy cheeses. For example, the popular garlic cheese, the unique blueberry cheese, or the spicy variety with chili and tomato.
In addition to the dairy's own cheeses, you find a large selection of other delicious Danish and foreign cheeses. You can choose from a big variety of different kinds of cheese. Lovely, well-known, Danish sandwich cheeses and well-known classics such as the Dutch gouda and the French port salut. You can find something to suit every taste.
